Mental Health Worker
Program Overview
The Mental Health Worker program prepares students to support individuals dealing with mental health challenges in various healthcare and social service settings. Students gain a strong understanding of mental health disorders, therapeutic communication, crisis intervention, and patient care techniques. The program covers essential topics such as psychiatric rehabilitation, ethical practices, mental health laws, and counseling fundamentals. Graduates are equipped to work as mental health workers, psychiatric technicians, or behavioral health specialists, assisting patients in hospitals, mental health facilities, rehabilitation centers, and community organizations.
