NEWTON, KS – The Central Alabama Community College men’s golf team capped off an outstanding season with a sixth-place finish at the NJCAA Division I Golf Championships held at Sand Creek Station Golf Course.

Battling firm greens and high winds for three of the four tournament rounds, the Trojans placed three golfers among the top 25 individually. Zane Aiken led the way with a fifth-place overall finish, while Easton Haworth tied for 15th and Hayden Canary finished 23rd overall.

McLennan Community College captured the national championship after rallying on the back nine of the final round to overtake top-ranked Indian Hills Community College.

The national tournament appearance and top-six finish conclude another successful season for the Trojans, who earned multiple tournament victories and a runner-up finish at the NJCAA Southeast District Championship earlier this spring. Central Alabama Community College coach Daniel Allen, was also recognized as the Southeast District Coach of the Year, following his team’s overall success throughout the season.
