Central Alabama Community College was recently recognized as the December Business of the Month by the Talladega, Lincoln, Munford Chamber of Commerce during a presentation at the College’s Talladega campus.
The recognition highlights CACC’s continued presence in the Talladega County community and its long-standing relationships with local organizations, employers, and civic partners.
The award was presented on campus with several community leaders in attendance, including Stephani Burton of the Presbyterian Home for Children, Donnie Miller, Executive Director of the Talladega Lincoln Munford Chamber of Commerce, and Dennis Gilliam, President of the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind. They joined CACC President Jeff Lynn and Jerry Creel for the presentation and photo at the Talladega Center.
“This recognition is meaningful because it comes from the community we serve every day,” Lynn said. “Our Talladega Center plays an important role in the College, and we value the relationships we’ve built across this area. Being recognized by the Chamber is something we appreciate.”
Jerry Creel, Educational Site Director for CACC’s Talladega Center and President of the Talladega, Lincoln, Munford Chamber of Commerce, said the College continues to be a steady partner in the region.
“Central Alabama Community College is an important part of this community,” Creel said. “The College serves students here, works closely with local organizations, and supports workforce needs across the area. That kind of involvement matters for Talladega County.”
The Talladega Center is one of several locations where CACC provides instruction, workforce training, and support services for students across Central Alabama. Through its campus presence and partnerships, the College remains connected to the communities it serves.
